Most serious pumpers like to pump "wet", with water in the tube... and it only takes a second in the wrong position for water to be sucked in to your pump. With a manual pump, it's just a bit messy. With an electric pump, it's a potential disaster. This little gadget plugs right in to your electric pump, and your cylinder vac line plugs in to it. If water, lube or fluids get in your vac line, the Trap separates it before it reaches the pump, and dumps it into the storage jar, where you can see it. The system plugs in-line for the QS-7, but also for many older type electric pumps including Vacu-tech's. It's complete and ready to go- it just plugs in. It will plug into manual pumps too by moving the male coupler of the Trap tubing to the end of your cylinder tubing, and attaching the Trap's tubing directly to your hand pump.
The QS-7 in the picture above shows the simple way it installs. The Water Trap comes with a choice of 4 oz. or 8 oz. storage jars. Small is better for Dynamic Pumping because it keeps air volume low. Large is better where the risk of flooding is greater.
