QuickSilver Version 1.5 Server Control Software Outline
QuickSilver 1.5 is a substantial update over version 1.0. It corrects many nuisance bugs, virtually all installation problems, enhanced controls, and has a new graphic look. It has been designed to provide the most versatile use of the QS-7 Programmable vacuum Server possible, but always with the belief that it must be easy to learn and easy to use. And it is!
The Quicksilver screen has five tabs across the top, like folder tabs. Each is labeled with the primary function.
- Tab One: SELECT DEVICE
With 1.5, this replaces "Select com port". The function is self-actuating, you usually won't need this tab at all. - Tab Two: ASSEMBLE PROFILE
This page is the tool that allows you to create the definition programs which will run on the QS-7. These are called "Profiles", and saved with the extension ".pro". From this page you can create, recall, edit, set running time, save or delete any profile. A pop-up window opens for most editing features. - Tab Three: ASSEMBLE PLAY LIST
A play list is a list of profiles to run, in the order you want to run them. A play list can include one or several instances of the same profile, or a variety of profiles in whatever order you choose. From this page you can name and save assembled play lists to run again later (saved as a ".run" file). You can recall, edit or delete .run play lists from this page. By combining the options offered within profiles and then the ability to combine profiles into run lists, a huge variety is possible. Profiles or lists placed on this page are ready to be run on the next Tab. - Tab Four: EXECUTE RUN
This page is the actual operations display window, which will start and track the progress of .pro or .run files you have added to the current Play List. It includes Start/Pause/Stop run buttons, a digital pressure display, and a digital elapsed run-time clock. Note that "Pause" will stop the progress, but will hold the current pressure. This allows you to extend a low or a high for as long as you wish. Note that the "Stop' button will stop the program, and will immediately release all pressure. - Tab Five: VIEW RUN HISTORY
This provides a record for previous runs in reverse chronological order. Each entry shows the date and time of day the run took place, which .pro or .run files were included and the length of the run. You can delete selected entries or all entries.
